INSURANCE
ALL Students are required to obtain valid health insurance during their entire stay . Bring proof of your current insurance to Beth Loar in the Annex.
TRAVEL SIGNATURE
If you are planning to travel out of the United States during Thanksgiving break, and you hold an F visa, you should obtain a travel signature. You must have a DSO (immigration advisor) sign your I-20 so that you will be admitted to the US upon your return. Please see bring your I-20 to Beth or Diana in the Annex for a travel signature.
PID
All Students should report their PIDs to Michelle Hash in the Main Office. All students are now required to have a Virginia Tech e-mail account. This account can be set up after you report to the school, when you will obtain your student ID number. For more information, go to: https://webapps.es.vt.edu/pidgen/start.html
THANKSGIVING LUNCH
The Thanksgiving lunch will be a great time for students, teachers and staff to socialize with each other and to enjoy some great holiday food. Door prizes will be given out! Don't miss the fun! The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, Nov. 11. from Beth (in Annex). Please show your student I.D. when purchasing your ticket and have the correct amount of $6.00 per person.
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR BUS
Blacksburg Transit will operate on the following schedule during the holidays in November and December:
• Blacksburg: From Nov. 19-26 and Dec. 16-Jan. 16, Blacksburg Transit will operate on a reduced service schedule.
• Christiansburg: Blacksburg Transit will offer extended service hours for both the Explorer and the Go Anywhere routes during the holidays in November and December.
• There will be no service in the towns of Blacksburg or Christiansburg on Nov. 24, Dec. 25, or Jan. 1.

DISNEY PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT FOCUS GROUP PARTICIPANTS NEEDED
4:00pm in classroom 132 in the Food Science and Technology Building, on the corner of Duck Pond Drive and Washington Street. Parents with children ages of 5-10 are invited to participate in a focus group session to help develop nutritious snack foods for kids. Every participating child must be accompanied by at least one parent/guardian. All participants will receive a healthy snack. The information gleaned from participants will help with designing and developing a nutritious low-fat dairy and fruit product for kids.
